Cory, Aileen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
AILEEN CORY (nee Hineman)
on January 26tH, 2024 at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton.
At the age of 85. 




Aileen was the eldest daughter of Lawrence & Adelene Hineman.
Loving and dedicated wife to Melvin for 66 years.
Best Momma Bear to her children, Yvonne, Kathy (Barry), Trish (Randy),
Doug and Darlene (Bill).
Proud grandmother to Melissa, Matt, Brooke (Steve) , Kaitlyn (Brad) , Ian, 
D.J., Mitchell (Hannah), Maria and the late Tyler.
Cherished Great Grandma to Alyssia, Denver and Deakon.
Loving Sister to Rhonda Bradley, Susan (Floyd) Hudgin and the late Laverne (Helen).
Special Sister in Law to Audrey and Don Hackett and the late Gladys, Vernon,
Freeburn, Irene, Doreen, Brad.
She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Aileen worked for Bell Canada in Picton until she met and married the love of her life Melvin and became a farmer’s wife. She always thought of others before herself and made the best chocolate macaroons and lemon meringue pie. 
Her family was her # 1. Flowers and birds were her enjoyment.
To know Aileen was to love her dearly.

The family would like to thank the truly wonderful staff at Hallowell House for the past five years.  
Thanks for your kindness and care to make Mom feel as close to her own home as possible.
We would also like to thank the staff at the Picton Hospital for their compassionate care received
for mom during her final days. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks Hall, 21 Elks Street, Picton
on Friday, February 2nd from 1 - 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Aileen’s memory to the
PEC Memorial Hospital Back the Build Fund
or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by her family.
