Dempsey, Pauline

PAULINE VALENTINE DEMPSEY
(nee BURR)

Pauline Dempsey was called home to be with her Lord on February 6th, 2024
at PEC Memorial Hospital, Picton in her 94th year.

She was predeceased by her parents, the Rev. Lorne and May Burr (Squire), her husband William K. Dempsey,
infant son Christopher, grandchild Michael Drummond and her sister and brother in-law Carol and William Soble.
She is survived by her brother, Rodney Burr (Ellen) of Consecon, her sons, Terry (Deborah) Brantford,
Kenton (Gail) Ameliasburg, Peter (Olive) Dunnville, Jeffery (Laura) Consecon, and daughters Eraine Preston (Rick)
and Sherri Wheeler (Lloyd) Belleville. She will be sadly missed by 9 grandchildren, Marshall (Cheryl),
and Connor Dempsey, Grace Bayliss (Jon), Christopher Dempsey, P.C. Dempsey (Angela), Lyle and Brodie Preston, Shannon and Colene Wheeler. She will be greatly missed by her 5 great-grandchildren,
Rebecca and Kalyn Dempsey, Elizabeth and William Dempsey, and Laszlo Bayliss.

Pauline loved working with children. She was a stay-at-home Mom on the family farm
fostering babies and then caring for numerous grandchildren. She served many years as Secretary/Treasurer
of Burr’s Cemetery. She was active in the churches she attended (Crofton, Fairway Ave. Sunday School,
Victoria Avenue Baptist, First Baptist in Kingston and Emmanuel Baptist Belleville).

The family would like to thank the PSWs that assisted Mom at home especially Stacy, Hope, Santos and Kaitlyn,
thanks to the Hospice personnel and the nurses and doctors at PECM Hospital.
Special thanks to her Nurse Practitioner David Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Prince Edward, PECMH Foundation Back the Build
or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.


A Service of Remembrance will be held at 
Eastside Community Baptist Church, Belleville 68 Rollins Dr., Belleville 
on May 9th, 2024.
Visitation 10-11am, Service of Remembrance at 11am, lunch at 12pm.  
Interment will be at Burr's Cemetery, Burr Road, PEC at 2:30pm
