It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of
David (Dave) Ashton.
Beloved husband and best friend for 41 years to MaryLynn (nee) Wight.
Loving father to Tonya (Brandon), Brent (predeceased by Emily).
Devoted grandfather to Grayson and Elle.
Survived by his mother Mary his father Bill (Penny)siblings Anne (Ed), Chris and Mathew. Sister-in-law Linda (Eva),
Sandra (John), brother-in-law Steven.
Predeceased by his brother Paul. He will be fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He will be forever remembered as “ Brother Dave” by his friends and “ Coach Dave” to former hockey and baseball players that he coached in earlier years. He was known for his pristine yard and car detailing skills. He was an avid fisherman and promoted fish sustainability to ensure present and future anglers could enjoy the sport. His endearing laugh and sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place and a visitation and reception will be held on
Friday June 20th from 2pm- 5pm in the Highline Hall at the Wellington and District Community Center.
Interment to take place at a later date.
