Corinne Rose Babbitt
Corinne Rose Babbitt
(nee Fargey)
was born June 30, 1941, in Belleville,
passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026.
Corinne grew up in Belleville and built a life defined by warmth, curiosity, and an infectious love of people.
She dedicated many years to teaching, shaping young minds with the same patience and kindness she brought to every corner of her life.
Beyond the classroom, Corinne was a woman of remarkable talents and interests. She was a graduate of both Toronto Teacher’s College and Queen’s University. She achieved the prestigious rank of Grand Master in Bridge, a testament to her sharp mind and competitive spirit.
She was also a gifted artist and creator, spending hours painting, crafting jewelry, and exploring whatever new project caught her eye.
Corinne loved to travel, discovering new places and cultures with the same enthusiasm she brought to a sunny afternoon ride
on her bicycle through the streets of Wellington.
What people remember most about Corinne, though, was her laugh.

Corinne lived with a fullness and a brightness that touched everyone who knew her.
She will always be remembered for her smile and laughter, those gifts she gave so freely and that stayed
with people long after she left the room.
