Harley Branscombe
With a sad heart, Angela Branscombe announces the passing of
HARLEY BRANSCOMBE
her beloved husband of 39 years
Harley Peter Blake Branscombe was born in Kirkland Lake in 1950 and grew up in Timmins.
The youngest son of Amy (nee Marks) and Blake Branscombe he is survived by his sister Heather Nord (Roy) and brother Sam (Valerie).
Predeceased by his brother Ivan (Beryl). Remembered by his nieces and nephews Kate (Steve), Greg (Sherry), Blake (Renee),
Gary (Johanne), Monty, Holly, Celia and numerous great nieces and nephews and great great too!
Having spent 44 years in a wheelchair, Harley was part of Nucleus Housing at the beginning of its’ conception and its fulfillment
to assist those with spinal cord injuries to live in the community. Before his accident in 1981 he was a “beautiful skier.”
The steeper the hill the better! He skied the Athabasca Glacier with his great friend Martin. Every day for 44 years he climbed
a mountain but with the support of his love, Angela, family and excellent friends Harley rose to the daunting challenge.
Special thanks to the wonderful PSWs that made it possible to stay at home, Bonnie, Hope, Linda, Vanessa, Lisa and
Lisa, Katie, LeRoy, Julie, thanks to Cheshire, Bayshore and Paramed, to Jenifer (the California kid) and Sherry for all your kindness and help.
Could not have done it without you.
A Celebration of Harley’s Life will be held in June of 2026.
