Benjamin Densmore
Burley
Together, in abundance of love, tenderness, and warmth,
we embraced and shared our lasting words of affection to
Benjamin Densmore Burley,
always known as Ben,
78, of Belleville,
who passed away on March 6th, 2026.
Ben was born on February 17,1948, to Shirley May (Ainsworth) Burley and Bernard Eugene Burley of Wellington.
He graduated from Sir Sanford Flemming College and took pride in his career as a
Conservation Officer with the Ministry of Natural Resources for 30 years.
Ben married Beverly (McGowan) on June 27, 1970, in Wellington, and they had two children.
Growing up, Ben was well known for his athleticism and enjoyed playing hockey and baseball.
In later years, he continued to play hockey, as well as tennis, and enjoyed downhill skiing, golf, and swimming.
Ben also enjoyed hunting and fishing for several years.
Recently, he enjoyed yearly trips to Florida, active walking, watching sports, and fussing over (our boy), Jayz, the family cat.
Ben was known for his kindness, generosity, helpfulness to others, and he had a great sense of humor and would often joke with family
and friends. To family, he will be lovingly remembered for his genuine and authentic nature, reassuring smile and laughter, strength
and determination, and unwavering care and support.
Ben was a tender and doting Papa to his grandson, Tritan, and Grandpa to granddaughter, Aleene.
His grandchildren always had a deeply special place in his heart and everyday thoughts.
He was the best Grandpa ever!
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly, daughters, Janelle and Steffanie, and grandchildren, Tritan and Aleene.
Ben will be missed beyond words. We will endlessly think of and sing along to the (moldy oldie) songs of the 50's and 60's,
family socializing with 4'clock drinks and wine at dinner, his favorite BBQ menus, and his pride and joy with maintaining the
family home and property, all that we will continue to nurture.
We love you, Daddy! xoxo
Ben, you will be with me forever and always. Bev xoxo
