AMANDA BRIANNE CLAPP
06 May 1983 - 11 Oct 2025
Of Quinte West and Milford.
Our beautiful friend, sister and niece has set off on her next journey, and we do hope she gets to see the world as she wished!
She fought so hard to stay a bit longer, but her tired soul had taken all it could handle and she leaves us all with a great emptiness in our hearts.
She loved the sunshine, how fitting that it be raining the day that she passed.
She very much disliked the rain. We hope now she gets to feel the warmth on her face every single day.
She had an immense love for animals and spent much of her time caring for her own fur babies - Sassy (Dublin), Pal, Bear, Camo, Bruce and Kaepernick, and the not-so-furry Butterscotch. We know that she will miss them most of all, and we hope that she was greeted with happy tails wagging by her beloved Winston and Laika, her horse Wizard, and her tiny tortoise Gertie on the other side of The Bridge.
In her short time here, she also fiercely advocated for foster dogs and opened her home to many of them over the years.
Helping each one move on to loving “fur-ever” homes.
She loved the fall! Hallowe’en and all things spooky were her favourite, and though we know she wouldn’t have chosen
to go now - or so soon - that this time of year would be ideal for her crossing on to whatever comes next.
If you were lucky enough to call her “friend”, know that you too were loved - with her whole heart and soul.
We hope too as she transitions onto her next path, that Mike was there to take her by the hand and show her where she needs to go.
She was never really able to move through the loss and sadness that she felt when he passed away suddenly - and so our wish for her now is that she can feel that love again, and that she left us knowing how truly loved and cherished she was by all of us here.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr Laura Milne for her compassion and care.
Predeceased by her parents David and Maureen; and her spouse Michael McDonald.
Survived by her sister Jennifer, her aunts, uncles, cousins and her many friends.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place in the spring.
If you wish to honour her memory, a donation to an animal rescue group of your choice would be most appropriate.
