at Hospice Prince Edward, Picton on Friday, March 13th, 2026

In his 94th year.





Beloved son of the late Mae (nee McFaul) and Rae Ferguson.

Loving husband of the late Barb Ferguson (nee Steenburg).

Caring father of Vicki Lavender (Paul) and Kevin Ferguson (Helga).

Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Justin (Kim), Rachel (Dave), Kelsey (Jeff) 

and great grandchildren Chase and Cole Lavender and Bentley and Brooklyn Hicks.

Predeceased by grandson Jamie. 

Survived by his brother Laird and predeceased by sisters Katherine and Vivian.

Bruce was a devout son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. 

He was actively involved in making his community a better place through his membership in the Masonic Lake Lodge #215, 

the Prince Edward Chapter of Royal Arch Masons #31, the Order of the Eastern Star Quinte Chapter #59, The St. George Preceptory #52 

and the Belleville Shrine Club. He was a loyal Wellington Dukes and Toronto Blue Jay fan.

 A proud farmer for 60 years and a true gentleman for 93. 

He will be sadly missed by family and friends.


The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at PEC Memorial Hospital and staff at Hospice Prince Edward 

for their excellent care and compassion as well as Marilyn, Elaine, Hans, Doug, Frank, Greg, the VON program at Picton United Church 

and the staff at Wellington Pharmacy for their friendship and support.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 20th from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. 

at the Ainsworth Funeral Home, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington. 

A Masonic Service will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellington United Church 

followed immediately by a Memorial Service. 

A private family interment will take place at a later date.
