Haley, Maureen Grace

Maureen Grace Haley ( nee Pennee)

August 17, 1942 - October 1, 2026

It is with sadness and peace that we say ´till we meet again to Maureen.

Born in NDG Montreal, she met and married Aidan, her husband , just two weeks short, of 62 years.

She made a life with him and then expanded it with two children; her daughter Leslie (Simon) and son Evan(Yuri).

Maureen had worked as a teacher in Montreal and then moved into an accounting career, where she finally retired in Burlington, Ontario.

With her family grown and retirement accomplished, She and Aidan moved to Picton (PEC) where they spent 27 years becoming

County people-volunteering, joining, fundraising, creating and simply loving their town and the people in it.

Maureen said it took her long enough to get to Picton, but it was always meant to be her home.

It was the place they welcomed all their grandchildren; Colin(Kate), Kaitlyn(Brennan), William, Harrison(Emma) and her youngest grandson

Aidan and holds some of her most treasured memories. She leaves behind her brother Robert Pennee and sisters in law Donna Pennee ,

Marie Desmarais, Maureen Anne Haley and Margaret Haley and brother-in-law Denis Haley, as well as nephew Marc Pennee(Marie Eve)

and her great nephew Ethan and great niece Riley.

She was happy to think she would be reunited with her Mother, Paddy Eileen and Father Bernard Pennee

as well as her brother Bern and her niece Mélissa Pennee , all of whom predeceased her.

Maureen was a good friend to many and they were such good friends to her-you all know who you are and you made her life better.

In lieu of flowers or service, donations may be made to Hospice Prince Edward, where Maureen spent her last days in comfort and care or

She died as she lived with dignity, grace and a loving humour.
