With deep sadness we announce the passing of
ROBERT EDWARD ‘BOB’ LATCHFORD
On Monday, June 1st, 2026
at Hallowell House Nursing Home, Picton
In his 87th year.
Devoted husband to Mary.
Loving father of Kelly (Donovan), Rob (Arlene), Kevin (Tracey) and predeceased by
daughter Karen (George). Caring Stepfather of Chris (Lisa) and Terri (Darren).
Cherished Poppa to 12 grandchildren and great Poppa to 2 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his brother Keith (Shirley). Beloved Uncle to Kathy (Tenn), David (Donna), Susie (Brian) and Janet (Mitch)
After growing up and working in Belleville, Bob relocated to the Oshawa area.
There he began a long career with General Motors, initially at the main Oshawa plant
and then at the Scarborough Van plant, where he rose to Line Supervisor.
Bob enjoyed time with his younger daughter Karen, camping in the Sandbanks/West Lake area in the County.
After retiring in 1993, he married Mary in 2002 and they eventually settled in Wellington on the Lake in 2006.
Bob will be missed by his family and friends in the community.
The family wishes to acknowledge all of the staff at Hallowell House and West Lake Terrace Nursing Homes
for the care and empathy shown to Bob and his family.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
