Evelyn May Rubie

Evelyn May Rubie
(nee Andrews)

April 23/1926 - June 4/2025

At the wonderful age of 99, Evelyn has left this earthly world.
Evelyn was a woman of great faith and a beautiful soul born in the
“Greatest Generation.” She was an inspiration to all who knew her
and an example of how to live life.

Born to Arthur Andrews and Hilda Blackmore of England, Evelyn was raised

and lived in Toronto until the 1980s when she and Gord relocated to Prince Edward County. A lover of “feathered and furry” friends, a devoted member of her church,
she was also an active volunteer and was honoured in 2012 by the County for an Ontario Volunteer Service Award.

Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Gordon, brother Ronald Andrews and
her niece Janis Ricci. She leaves behind her sister-in-law and friend Margaret Stasyshyn, her niece Karen Nuson and her nephew-in-law John Ricci and his family. Special friend to Janis, Edith, Jim, Teresa, Tom, Ruth and many others at St Mary's Magdalene church and in this community.

Thank you to the staff at McFarland Nursing Home for their care
of Evelyn over the last 41/2 years.

As per Evelyn's wishes a cremation has taken place and a
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 19th at 1:00 p.m. at
Glenwood Cemetery, Picton

Memorial Donations to The Humane Society or the PEC Memorial Hospital Foundation Back the Build would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
