Viona “Marie” Thurston
Passed away honorably July 10th, 2025
At the age of 96 at Hospice Prince Edward.
Beloved wife of her late husband William (Bill) Thurston.
Caring and loving mother to the late Carl Thurston (Shelley), Donna Thurston and Nancy Mulder (Bert).
Cherished Grandma to Nick Bark (Lisa), Michelle Holmes (Mike), Bill Thurston (Robyn), Shawna Kerr (Tyler), Bethany Kelly (Mark)
and Brooke McInnis (Aidan). Great Grandma to Rylee, Kayden, Solomon, Laki, Lucas, Lexie, Trent, Reid and Melanie.
Marie loved her family and friends fiercely. Her home in Cressy was a welcoming, safe and loving place.
She greeted many with open arms and lots of food. Her mission was for no one to ever leave her place hungry.
She will be missed by many.
We would like to extend our greatest thanks to the staff at Hospice Prince Edward for caring for Marie at the end of her life.
Donations can be made in Marie’s name to Hospice Prince Edward.
There will be a private graveside service for Family only as per Marie’s wishes.
