William Paul Young

July 28th, 1952 - May 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of

William Paul Young, surrounded by family at Belleville General Hospital.

Paul was the eldest son of the late William H. Young and H. May Young.

Beloved big brother to Bob (Laura) and Heather. Fondly missed uncle to:  Angela (Ciarán), Gregory (Virginie), Walter and great uncle to Saoirse.

Paul loved living in Wellington and The County. Family and friends called him the town’s “Unofficial Ambassador” – “The Duke of Wellington”.

Paul was a graduate of PECI and Western University. He had a long, dedicated career with the Canada Revenue Agency.

Paul was known for his volunteer work with the United Way and the Quinte Rowing Club. In his younger days, Paul was an avid cyclist.

He even cycled around Lake Ontario.

Paul's family is grateful to the caring staff of Prince Edward Memorial Hospital and Belleville General Hospital, ICU,

who made his remaining time as comfortable as possible.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation at the
Ainsworth Funeral Home, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington
on Thursday, May 8th from 1-3 p.m.
As per Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the PEC Memorial Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Online condolences shared at www.ainsworthfuneralhome.com
